Building Connection Through Nature: The Sensory Trail at Coelho Ranch
Nestled in the heart of South Monterey County’s Arroyo Seco region, Coelho Ranch Foundation is a 64-acre sanctuary where nature, inclusion, and healing come together. Rooted in the Coelho family’s legacy of service, the ranch provides a haven for individuals and families who have faced hardship, offering them a place to learn, grow, and belong.
Our Mission in Motion
At Coelho Ranch Foundation, our mission is clear:
To provide educational, recreational, and developmental opportunities that are inclusive and accessible for children and adults who have experienced significant hardship, are underprivileged, or otherwise face or have faced difficult life circumstances or obstacles.
This mission comes to life through our next major project — The Sensory Trail — a place where accessibility, exploration, and wellness meet. This project will kick off with our Sunset Fundraiser on October 11, 2025.

Why It Matters
The Sensory Trail isn’t just a path through the ranch, it’s a pathway toward inclusion, healing, and community. Every flower planted, every sound heard, and every hand that touches the soil brings us closer to a world where everyone can access the restorative power of nature.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations to the Coelho Ranch Foundation directly support community access, inclusion, and healing through nature.
