Sometimes the best way to understand a place is to see it for yourself. That is why we created a new video that gives visitors a closer look at Coelho Ranch, the people we serve, and the many spaces that make the ranch special.
The video was made for families, schools, youth groups, churches, community partners, local businesses, and anyone who has heard about the ranch but has never had the chance to visit. It is also for people who may be looking for a place to host a retreat, private event, meeting, wedding, quinceañera, or community gathering.
Over the past year, the ranch has continued to grow. We now welcome hundreds of children from King City, Greenfield, Soledad, and nearby communities through our partnerships with schools and local organizations. Some children come to hike or swim. Others meet a horse for the first time, plant something in the Edible Garden, explore the orchard, or simply enjoy being outside.
We wanted the video to show more than just the land, we wanted it to show why these spaces matter.

You will see Oak Terrace and Sunset Park, our equine program, the Edible Garden, orchard, grape tunnel, duck pond, campground, pavilion, hiking trails, and Ruth’s Art Park. Each space offers a different way to learn, explore, slow down, and connect with the outdoors.
The video also marks an important point in the growth of the ranch. New programs are taking shape, more partners are getting involved, and more children are having the chance to experience the ranch each week. We are proud of that progress, and we know there is still much more ahead.
Coelho Ranch is a place for learning, recreation, community, and connection. It is also a place where support from events, sponsors, volunteers, and donors helps keep these experiences available to children and families across South Monterey County.
If you have been curious about the ranch, this video is a great place to start. Take a few minutes, watch the video, and see what is growing at Coelho Ranch.
