A LIVING CLASSROOM
Our grape tunnel and orchard help children see, touch, taste, and understand how food grows—from the vine and tree to the table.
CREATIVITY TAKES ROOT
Outdoor art experiences give children room to imagine, create, and express themselves while finding inspiration in the natural world around them.
NATURE COMES ALIVE
Up-close encounters with animals, water, and wildlife turn everyday curiosity into memorable lessons about care, connection, and the natural world.
TRAILS TO DISCOVERY
Our hiking trails encourage children to explore the land, build confidence, and experience the wonder of the outdoors one step at a time.
ART AMONG THE OAKS
Explore our outdoor art park, where creative works placed throughout the landscape invite curiosity, conversation, and reflection for visitors of all ages.
SPACE TO BREATHE
Sometimes a young person simply needs a safe place to slow down and reconnect. Through guided time with horses and the outdoors, our equine program creates space to build trust, confidence, and a sense of calm.
Our Story & Mission
At the Coelho Ranch Foundation, we believe in community and giving back. We host events for disadvantaged and underrepresented youth and adults and their caregivers, foster families, community impact workers such as local law enforcement personnel and their families. Our mission is to provide inclusive opportunities for those facing hardship. Funds from venue events ensure the property’s future use.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization stewarding 64 acres along the Arroyo Seco River in South Monterey County, California. Our ranch hosts community events and serves as a retreat venue for other nonprofits. As a 501(c)(3), we have the ability to share the beauty, history, and tranquility of the Coelho Ranch with children and adults for decades to come. To ensure sustainability, it is also available for private events like weddings and corporate gatherings. All donations and proceeds support our mission and benefit the local community.
