As parents of nine children, many adopted out of foster care, we understand the importance of providing opportunities for those facing hardships. Our children have thrived at the Coelho Ranch, and we are excited to offer others the chance to build self-esteem through hands-on experiences at this truly special place.

Activites Manager & Horse Trainer
With a passion for creating memorable experiences, Haley thoughtfully organizes engaging activities that inspire visitors of all ages and abilities. Her love and understanding of horses help enrich our equine programs, fostering confidence, trust, and connection through compassionate training and care.
Valarie Brown-Klingelhoefer

Valarie Brown-Klingelhoefer, Ph.D

Director of Arts and Grants
Valarie is known for her extensive work with nonprofits locally and globally, including as President for the Arroyo Seco Citizen’s Association. Recognized by the Monterey County United Way for Her love of creating opportunities for kids to thrive and improving our community, Valarie is a perfect fit for the Coelho Ranch Foundation leadership team.
